Technology Specialist (NCTS)

Certification Goal:
This designation is technology focused. It certifies that the successful candidate can apply an entry level of technical proficiency required to engineer or support a converged network solution in support of a customer’s business requirements.

Target Audience:
Individuals worldwide who are responsible for:Planning, designing and/or engineering network solutionsDetermining the right technology for the customer’s networkProviding assistance where necessary in the development of an implementation plan

Demonstrated Skills:
A candidate who is minimally qualified has these characteristics. In general it represents approximately three to six months of relevant or related work experience.Quantifiable experience designing a basic network solutionCan, with minimal assistance, plan, design, and/or engineer network solutions with basic complexityCan apply knowledge of the topics tested to help solve customer design issues in most routine situations Can work alone, without close supervision, although he or she may be part of a team
