Step1. Explore the various career path offerings from architect to specialist studies. Nortel offers three career tracks: “Design,” “Support” and “Technology,” with three levels of expertise in each.
Step2. Consider the Design track if you’ll be engineering the use of applications. Support certifies expertise in troubleshooting and operation of software systems while Technology is the installation and maintenance of the system.
Step3. Read additional information about each certification track in the “Support and Training” tab on the Nortel website. Take a quick self-assessment exam to determine the level of exam that fits you best.
Step4. Track your progress towards different Nortel certifications by signing into Nortel’s CertManager. CertManager records each exam taken and credits it towards the many certification options available. This makes setting and attaining goals easier.
